With his EP “Selected Four" St. Petersburg based Bogdan Ra takes on Russian poetry and recontextualizes the Russian silver age. Drawing from the splendidness of Disco, Italo, and Funk and combining it with his genuine vocals, Bogdan Ra deϧnitely marks a silver lining for contemporary Indie-Dance with a sound that doesn't take itself too seriously but stays deeply honest. We are delighted to welcome this throughout authentic four-tracker from the most ambitious producer we know in the stock of Schrott Rec.

"Лето" (Leto), is sung by the Novosibirsk born artist himself whilst "Полночь" (Polnoch) is vocalized by his girlfriend Marie Marochkina. Both tracks are providing a perfect mixture of misϧt and bitterness that almost remind us of Molchat Doma – just put in the context of electronic dance music. The Russian Lyrics are referring to the works of Russian Poets from the so-called era of the “silver age” - a deeply melancholic treatise about unrequited love and midsummer nights.

''Exclusively yours" holds onto upbeat italo synth-vibes with a guitar part played by his talented friend Arseniy Skukovskiy. “Alen”, shines with a strong encouraging bassline that‘s gonna stay in your head. Doesn‘t matter if you call it new-age disco or future funk - your legs will move.
